The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) ran from 31 October to 13 November 2021, welcoming over 25,000 delegates from over 100 countries at the Scottish Event Campus.

SSE asked us to design, build and staff an experience space within the conference Blue Zone where delegates could relax, obtain refreshments and light snacks, and charge mobile phones and tablets.

Outfitted with various marketing activation pieces, the Recharge Lounge gave SSE huge brand exposure over the 13 days it was in operation and facilitated business development meetings for SSE with representatives from many potential new markets.

We designed a relaxing, welcoming event space from an existing VIP lounge within the OVO Hydro. Given free reign to completely rebrand the lounge, we worked closely with our printing partner to ensure all materials manufactured were from sustainable sources and can be disposed of in line with the United Nations’ sustainability requirements.
