Protect Earth is a charity which plants trees. It works with landowners, environmental organisations, and the general public to tackle the escalating climate crisis.

As a startup, Protect Earth needed to quickly build credibility with prospective backers. Key to this was the creation of an easily-identifiable brand, and a website to both drive engagement and explain the charity’s mission.

We took inspiration from the tree lifecycle in coming up with a brand mark that subtly evokes carbon molecules. The grey of the tree trunk leads to pops of colour, suggestive of Protect Earth’s role in bringing about a brighter day. Style variants were created for use on printed documents, pop-up signs, and feather banners used during planting sessions. Further to initial requirements, the new website allows stakeholders to book into planting events, donate money, and read about the charity’s ongoing projects.

“TMD created both our brand image and our website. The team were incredibly helpful throughout the process and we’re really pleased with the slick and professional brand they created for us.

There were times when the team at TMD politely but firmly steered us in a particular direction for our marketing strategy. This expert advice is greatly appreciated as they were always able to explain the rationale behind their recommendations clearly and concisely, which gave us confidence in the decisions that we took.

Being a new charity, we’re glad that we decided to start with a professional brand image at the very beginning of our journey. We’ve already seen through the uptake in donations that this has been a very good decision.

All of us at Protect Earth are really proud of the brand which TMD created for us and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services to anyone who is in need of some marketing support. ”
