MISS - Miscarriage Support
MISS is an Aberdeen based charity providing compassionate, confidential support to anyone impacted by pregnancy loss across Scotland. Their services range from one-to-one sessions and virtual support groups to a wealth of resources, including memory boxes, podcasts, and a private peer support group. Whether grieving, trying again, or navigating pregnancy after loss, MISS ensures that no one faces the journey alone.

MISS’s story is deeply personal. Founded in 2017 by someone who had experienced the trauma of pregnancy loss first-hand, the charity has grown to more than 10 staff and over 25 volunteers. Despite their vital work, MISS had been let down by previous web developers, leaving them with a website that didn’t reflect the depth of their mission or meet the needs of their community.
They required a platform that could clearly communicate their services, act as a trusted information hub, facilitate events and fundraising, and offer space for remembrance, all while handling sensitive subject matter with empathy and care.
We worked collaboratively with the MISS team to design and develop a website that is both functional and compassionate — a space that reflects their values and gives their community the tools they need.
Key features include:
Events module for promoting in-person and online events, with ticket sales capability
Expansive, regularly updated information hub for those affected by pregnancy loss
Dedicated pages for support services and initiatives such as the charity shop in Aberdeenshire
Volunteer opportunities section to help grow their network of supporters
A memorial wall for anyone impacted by early pregnancy loss to share their tributes
The new site gives MISS a robust, easy-to-manage platform that supports their work and amplifies their voice. It serves as a central hub for events, resources, and community engagement - and most importantly, it embodies the warmth and empathy that underpin their mission.
This project was about more than delivering a website. It was about creating a safe, accessible space for people going through one of life’s most difficult experiences. By understanding MISS’s story and translating it into an authentic digital presence, we’ve helped them reach more people, offer more support, and honour the memories of those lost.
