Client News: Stepping Stones for Families Secures Platinum Investors in People Award

We are delighted to announce that Stepping Stones for Families, a charity supported by The Marketing Department pro bono, has been awarded Platinum status by Investors in People.

The award, handed over at a ceremony by Investors in People Scotland CEO Bonnie Clarke, was received by Christopher Graham, chair of the board and CEO of The Marketing Department.

Chris said: “Needless to say, we are delighted to be recognised as a Platinum Investor in People. The last few years have been difficult given Covid, but the whole team have once again shown their dedication to the charity and I couldn’t be prouder of them.”

Isobel Lawson, CEO of Stepping Stones for Families, said: “Only 1% of IIP accredited organisations achieve Platinum status so this is a huge recognition of our dedication to the best asset we have: our team. We’ve also recently restructured our childcare services to create a new flexible childcare offer to families which has been really well received by the communities we serve.”

Bonnie said: “It has been a true privileged to share this celebration with Stepping Stones for Families.  The Platinum Investors in People award only tells part of this organisation's incredible story. The work they do is life affirming and joyful and the award is an important recognition for the positive contribution they selflessly make to so many peoples lives.

"It was an honour to share stories with some of their families and see first hand the impact they make. They really are leaders in their sector, for their people practices and for the common goal all the team share to make life more positive for the families they serve. ”

Stepping Stones for Families was rebranded by The Marketing Department in 2017, after which Chris was asked to join the board. He was elected Chair in January 2020.
