What to Expect from Counselling

  • You’ll have one-to-one time with a counsellor who listens without judgement.

  • Counselling lasts for 50 minutes. There is no set programme, counselling is shaped around your needs.

  • Everything you discuss stays between you and your counsellor, unless there’s a risk to your safety or someone else’s.

  • The number of follow-up appointments depends on your individual goals and progress.

Meet Your Counsellor, Rachel Lister

Rachel works with individuals affected by drugs, offering a safe, non-judgemental space to explore the root causes of addiction and build healthier coping strategies. Her approach is person-centred, supporting clients to set goals, reduce harm and develop practical tools for emotional wellbeing.

With a background in crisis support, Rachel brings deep experience of working with people in distress and understands the importance of creating an environment where clients can feel, process and move forward. She believes that even the smallest steps can create powerful ripple effects and feels privileged to walk alongside clients as they work through challenges and make positive change.

Pricing

Sessions cost just £35 each.

For comparison, private counselling typically costs £55-70 per hour. We are offering this reduced rate as part of a six-month trial, supported by our status as a charity. Our aim is to make counselling as accessible as possible to those who need it.

At your initial session, you and Rachel will agree how many sessions are needed and then your debit/credit card will be billed at the end of each session.
